How do you know if a guy is shy or he just wants to be friends.?

I've got this guy friend and sometimes I think he likes me as more than a friend other times i'm not sure.


Apart from just asking outright and possibly messing up a friendship how do you tell?


He is kinda shy, used to be with me anyway, but not so much anymore.


Are there any little signs I should be looking out for?


I'm not very good at seeing the signs sometimes.How do you know if a guy is shy or he just wants to be friends.?
Do what i did, a guy was giving me mixed signals and i texted him randomly out the blue saying what are we? and what sorta relationship have we got? next day he thought i was drunk, so you could use that as an excuse ?How do you know if a guy is shy or he just wants to be friends.?
If a guy is shy or nervous like around you he most likely likes you,but if your just friends then he could talk to you about alot.
He's shy just give him time and just try holding hands to see if he's interested. Go too far to fast and you'll scare him off! You will one day unlease a monster!!
